Overview

The Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge, a monumental 55-kilometre bridge–tunnel system, integrates a series of three cable-stayed bridges, an undersea tunnel, and four artificial islands. This engineering marvel stands as the world's longest sea crossing and the longest fixed open-sea link, marking a significant achievement in modern infrastructure and connectivity.

GELEC's Contribution

  • Material Quality: GELEC supplied the JFM Motorized Smoke and Fire Damper, specifically designed for the unique demands of undersea tunnel bridges, ensuring high-level fire safety and efficient smoke control.
  • Enhanced Protection: For commercial structures associated with the project, GELEC provided the SFD Series Motorized Smoke and Fire Damper, bolstering fire safety measures to protect against potential emergencies.
  • Overall Impact: In the Port Passenger Clearance Building, GELEC's FBA Floor Diffusers were installed to facilitate better air distribution and contribute to the overall fire safety strategy, ensuring a safer environment for travelers and staff alike.
